Newsletter January

Nabo

As we have all noticed, the acquisition of BrfEkonomen has not gone as planned. However, we now have some clarity on certain issues.

  • The electricity and water fees that were not included in the January invoice are now included in the February invoice.
  • The garage fee is still being paid to BrfEkonomen. Invoices have been sent out as usual via email to all affected residents.
  • Nabo has a case management function; however, we kindly ask you to continue emailing our usual address for contact with the board.

Remember to log in to Nabo’s website, To allow us to send out information via email in the future, you need to log in and approve the registration of your contact details. Email notifications are only used for information concerning specific members, such as ventilation inspections (OVK). Also, take the opportunity to check that your email address is correct and active. With almost every email distribution, at least one email fails to be delivered, either due to an incorrect address or because the inbox is full.

On Nabo’s website, you can also set up e-invoicing, direct debit, etc. Click on ”Invoices”, then on ”Change invoice method”.

Textile Waste

As of January 1, 2025, textile waste may no longer be disposed of with regular trash. The new law requires that textiles be sorted separately for recycling or reuse, an important step in reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable textile management system.

We encourage all residents to start thinking about how they handle textile waste now. Whole and clean clothing can be donated to second-hand stores or collection organizations, while damaged textiles should be taken to designated municipal collection points. At present, the association does not have the capacity to collect textile waste. Disposing of textiles in bins for other types of waste is therefore against the association’s rules.

In case of violations, the member and any tenant will receive a warning, and repeated offenses may result in restricted access. The rooms are under camera surveillance. More information about the environmental rooms can be found here.

You can read more about the new law and where to dispose of your textile waste here: Järfälla Municipality – New Law on Textile Waste.

Maintenance of the Month – The Garbage Disposal Unit

Did you know that you can clean your garbage disposal unit? The easiest way to do this is by using a handful of ice and a few lemon wedges—run the disposal without water.

If you would like to read more about how to maintain your garbage disposal, you can find the instruction sheet here.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Best regards,
The Board of BRF Barkarby Metropol
